A rainbow cat theme is definitely a unique twist that only a 6 year old with a creative imagination would envision for her bedroom. The theme was definitely a challenge, but I think we pulled off a neutral, sophisticated, yet playful space for Jillian to enjoy for years!

Mood Board Rainbow Cat
I wanted to focus the theme in little kitty cat, youthful and cute, but not tacky so I used a more muted mature palate instead of bright rainbow colors and stuck to a boho underlying theme. Doing so allowed me to mix and match home decor with kids decor for a more balanced space. Below you’ll find my initial mood board for the space. To create mood boards, I use the Renovate by Honey Built Home.
Total budget Breakdown for the space:
Fluted Trim $108
Supplies: $18
Paint: $40
Vinyl: $50
IKEA Brimnes Bed: $229
Decor: $55 (some I already had)
TOTAL: $500
