Rub n Buff
Rub n Buff your frame, door knobs, metal beds and more!! I’ve been on a slight rub n buff kick lately, from updating my babysitters new bed to changing these picture frames to a gold that matches the rest of my office. The process is extremely simple, you apply a small amount of rub n buff to a sponge, make up brush, or cotton rag and you simply, rub it on, and buff it in! One small tube goes a long way. You can find it at your local Hobby Lobby or Michaels, or pick up some from amazon. I like the color Antique Gold and Gold leaf.

PIVOT – The Banquette Bench
I still cannot believe this leather banquette had that difficult of a time fitting down the stairs (and that it took us hours to figure out the base was detachable). A good moment to laugh at ourselves. I found this corner leather banquette at a Shabundy’s a local consignment store and because it’s been used and the 2 back legs are split I ended up getting it for $1600 off. The original version is from Pottery Barn and they sell a variety of different sizes and shapes so I quickly hopped online and purchased a straight 50″ bench to fill the void in our dining nook. It is customizable with a few different colors of leather and 3 different leg colors.

The floors are Luxury Vinyl in Camden Oak and the light is super inexpensive from Amazon.
Guest Bedroom
I spent Labor Day tidying up our guest bedroom. Last fall I build the Rio leather woven bed from Crate and Barrel. Here’s the link directly to the bed, but if you want the budget friendly tutorial be sure to check it out here.
One of my favorite rugs ended up in this bedroom it is the Cuckfield rug from Boutique rugs. Use code: HONEYBUILT60 for 60% off site wide! TIP: if you have a king size bed opt for a 6×9′ rug or an 8×10′ rug.
Favorite Shirts
Lately I’ve gotten a handful of DM’s requesting links to shirts I love and am caught wearing! I’m flattered that ya’ll want fashion advice from a gal who is always covered in sawdust. These CRZ Pima Cotton shirts from amazon are my go to Tee for doing projects. They are stretchy, light weight, and fit very flattering even on a post-partum body.
Dressy white Tee, I own this in both colors because I’m slightly obsessed with the sleeve, and it fits so so so well. This is a great date night tee. I did end up sizing up to a Large in most things from Down East Basics.
Sunday Crepes
Every Sunday we enjoy simple old fashion crepes with butter and sugar. So many of you make crepes too sometimes filling it with lemon and sugar or cinnamon sugar. Can’t forget the more gourmet option of filling them with custards, yogurts, fruit spreads and nutella! We got this crepe maker a few years ago and it’s so simple to use my kids have now taken over as the designated crepe flippers.
