For the last 6 or so months Jess’s house has been in complete renovation mode! It all started in March when she was done with the grey walls and wanted a simple dining room refresh. So we painted the walls BM Swiss Coffee and got a super cute dining room set on Walmart. Painting the walls seemed to open up a can of worms because the next thing we knew, we were ordering new flooring!
Her very early 2000’s travertine tile was chipped and cracked in a lot of different areas and the cut out for the living room carpet made her living room feel really tight. With all new luxury vinyl floors throughout (the same floors I did in my current home: details here) the dining room, kitchen, and living room was really going to bright up and open up the whole space. Well, the thought of new laying floors with her outdated kitchen seemed silly so here we are! A completely gutted living, dining, and kitchen and slowly putting all the pieces back together.
Shop the whole space as all as all my other links over on my LTK here.
Bless her sweet family for enduring the renovation, and they were so happy to finally have some furniture to sit on in their living room which has been barren for the entire summer. With a house of 4 active boys we knew we needed furniture that was both budget friendly, but also durable with kids as her youngest likes to take markers to basically everything. We found these awesome faux leather chairs for under $300 on Walmart. They are so comfortable, even for tall men to sit in.

We went back and forth on a few different rug options. This pretty blue rug I have under my dining room table and love it, but Jess felt like maybe it was a little too blue for her space.
